This Forum is a mirror image of the People's Congress site. It is structured this way to provide participants (you) with a focused way to contribute your ideas and energy.
The People's Congress is about building consensus and about the community taking on the responsibilities adjoining the People's Congress. Therefore, this Forum is the heart of the People's Congress.
Not everyone will want or need to participle[ate in this Forum. That's OK. What is required however is that participants interact in a serious, peaceful and productive way.
This is all you do:
Register or log in to the Forum. We need you to do this so that we do not get spammed to death and so we have some control over obviously disruptive elements.
Once in the Forum, you may click on any folder and sub folder to read the ongoing threads and or to enter your thoughts etc.
If you are big on ending Corporate Person-hood, there a folder for that. If you would like to help develop the event logistics, there's a folder for that, etc.
Contact manes and information can be shared here, but remember, be sure you are connecting to the right person for the right reason.
The steering committee will have authority over all the Forum doc and input, so rest assured your efforts will be in good hands.
It is a process. When someone makes a comment in the Forum section, it may take some time before it is acted upon. Be patient, and in a pinch, pick up the phone and talk it over with your contact.
For now, legislative activity will be guided by Peter Allen, former Green Party candidate for Attorney General in CA. He and other legislative specialists will be assisting others who are interested in developing legislation to be enacted by the People's Congress. This process is vitally important. The better the legislation, the more consensus, the more impact it will have.
This brief description is a sketch for everyone to consider. Feedback welcome.
